Born in 1971, I grew up in the small town of Monticello, MS, a twin, and youngest of eleven children. I''ve always had an inner urge to be creative. As a child, I entertained myself with such things as drawing, piano, sewing, and writing skits for my church's youth group.  I later learned that my creativeness was not merely a pasttime, but a God-given gift/calling to be used to serve and bless others.

In 1994, I recieved a B.A. Degree in Fine Arts from the University of Southern Mississippi, where my artistic abilities were expanded and refined. Since graduating, I've worked in several creative venues, including making commissioned and non-commissioned oil paintings, custom framing, graphic design & publishing, and interior decorating.

In 2006, I became a member of the South Mississippi Art Association (SMAA). To date, I continue to explore and learn more. I have had the privilege of taking oil painting classes  by renowned artist, Dollye Kirk.

The beauty of being an artist is that my creativity carries into every area of my life. I approach my surroundings, my domestic life, and my relationships with the same spirit, transforming the ordinary into something new and appealing. Art makes life much more interesting and its diversity is without limit.

My favorite painting subjects are florals, landscapes and people (portaits/figurative art). My personal artistic goal is to become one of the best portait painters all around.
